B14S: Mowital B14S is a low-viscosity polyvinyl butyral (PVB) grade commonly used as a binder for printing inks and as a temporary binder in ceramics. It offers excellent adhesion and is suitable for applications requiring fine dispersion. Its thermosetting resin nature allows for durable coatings with good compatibility in various industrial formulations.
B16H: Mowital B16H is another low-viscosity PVB type favored for binding applications in printing inks, including flexographic and gravure printing. It also serves as a co-binder in powder coatings and textiles. This polymer provides good wetting properties and adhesion to multiple substrates, making it versatile for industrial paint and ink formulations.
B20H: Mowital B20H differs by its higher viscosity and molecular weight, lending it stronger mechanical properties and excellent compatibility with phenolic resins. This grade is widely used in coatings as well as in inks, showing strong adhesion to metal surfaces like steel, iron, zinc, and aluminum. It is also water-resistant and heat-sealable above 120°C.
B60H: Mowital B60H is characterized by its high viscosity and medium molecular weight. This combination ensures excellent film-forming properties and superior binding strength, making it ideal for demanding applications in coatings, adhesives, and printing inks. Its high viscosity also contributes to outstanding adhesion, flexibility, and resistance to chemicals and UV light, while maintaining compatibility with a wide range of solvents and pigments.
